How we celebrate 10 years...

When my husband told me that we would be spending our 10 year anniversary in Borger, Texas, I must admit that I was a little surprised. Don't get me wrong, I grew up there and there are many great things about Borger. Both Jimmy and I have family there, or near there and there are (a few) restaurants. But, Borger is not exactly my idea of "the place to be" for an anniversary. We are going to St. Lucia after Christmas to really "celebrate," but I was at least hoping for a kidless dinner at a nice restaurant.

What we did celebrate was a renewing of our vows, complete with the actual minister who performed the ceremony the first time (who also happened to be Jimmy's cousin - small town!). He added another ring to my wedding set, complete with diamonds (which are a girls best friend!) He made a slide show of the first 10 years - it was fantastic! He even "re-proposed" to me where we met (it's a long story, but one you would love!)The girls gave me flowers on the way in - it was a perfect way to round out 10 years. So thankful, grateful, joyful, emotional, and just plain happy that God brought us together 10 years ago. Happy Anniversary Jimmy!
